Getting Started
Your St. Scholastica account is used to access most College systems, including the on-campus lab computers. To get your account set up, you will need a few things:
- A computer that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements. To find the minimum requirements, go to the Information Technologies page. Please note: Chromebooks, phones, and tablets most likely do not meet these requirements!
- A mobile device for Duo Multi-Factor Authentication. Phones and tablets are acceptable. You will need one of your Duo-enrolled devices when you log in to most St. Scholastica systems.
- Your CSS ID. You should have received this in an email upon acceptance. To find your CSS ID, go to css.edu/accountlookup.
- Your alternate contact information. This is usually the personal email and phone number you applied with.
Once you have these, you will need to do the following:
- Activate your account: Please go to the Activate Account - New Students and Employees service for detailed instructions.
- Login to your myCSS: Please go to my.css.edu. Upon login, you will be prompted to set up Duo Mobile, the College's MFA app. Please go to the Duo First Time Enrollment article for detailed instructions.
- Log in to your CSS email: From your myCSS homepage, click the “Email” button on the upper left. To access your email directly, go to email.css.edu. This is the College's official communication channel, so we suggest you check it at least once a day.

When activating my account, the system says "Account Not Eligible For Activation." What do I do?
- That means your account is already active. Proceed to the next step!
