Care Team, Behavior Intervention Team and Threat Assessment Team

Care Team, Behavior Intervention Team and Threat Assessment Team.

  • The Care Team, chaired by the Dean of Students, meets regularly to identify, collect and review concerning information about at-risk community members.  The team  “connects the dots” and develops intervention plans to assist students.  The Care Team provides caring, preventative, and early intervention to support students  whose behavior is concerning, threatening, or disruptive and helps students connect to supports and build capacity and skills for moving in a healthy, successful way towards graduation. A Care Report can be made via this form: https://css-advocate.symplicity.com/care_report/index.php/pid461992?

  • The Behavior Intervention Team is tasked with reviewing referrals from the community to determine level of risk or concern, develop action plans to address the risk and intervene in crisis response as needed.  They work in tandem with the College-wide Threat Assessment Team which is a College committee chaired by a Vice President of the College.
