Enable or Disable for Your Own Use
- Log in to the CSS Zoom web portal.
- Note: In order to customize the settings for meetings summaries you need to be logged in to your CSS Zoom account in the web browser/web version vs. the Desktop App.
- Go to Settings.
- Click the AI Companion tab.
- Toggle AI Companion panel in Zoom Workplace on or off.
- Under Meeting, toggle Allow users to ask AI Companion questions about the meeting on or off.
Customize Your Settings
If the toggle is greyed out, it means those settings are locked for the college.
After enabling In-Meeting AI Companion, you can adjust these options:
- Automatically allow access when the meeting starts: It is recommended to keep this box unchecked. This setting allows the AI tool to automatically start transcribing (collecting information on the content of the meeting) from the start. Instead, you can set a reminder to pop-up when you start a meeting. Then, you can decide if you want to use this tool or not at that time.
- Share access with: Decide who (participants, invitees, only host, only organization, etc.) and when (from when they join vs. whole meeting) people can ask AI questions.
- Remind me to turn on AI Companion when I'm hosting a meeting: It is recommended to toggle on this reminder to be prompted to enable AI Companion at the start of a meeting if you don't have the auto-start setting on.
