Getting Started with Zoom

As a member of the CSS community, you have access to a Zoom account. Make sure your default web browser is Chrome or Firefox.

If you'd like to download the Zoom Desktop Client for Meetings and the Zoom Chrome Extension, go to the Zoom Resources page to do so. Note for employees: all CSS-assigned machines have the Zoom Desktop Client already installed.

When logging into Zoom via the desktop client or online at Zoom.us:

  • Click on the "Sign in with Google" iconUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  • Select your CSS Google account when Google asks you to "Choose an account"
  • Click "Continue" to allow Zoom to connect to your CSS Google account
  • When creating an account, Zoom will ask you to verify your age. Enter your birth year and then click "Continue"
  • On the "Welcome to Zoom" page, click "Create Account"
  • You will receive a notice that the account you are using is claimed by the College of St. Scholastica. Select the "Consolidate into Account" and then click "Continue"
  • You may be asked to sign into Zoom web portal again; if so, click the Sign in with Google once more to complete setup.
