Tabling Policy for External Religious Groups/Organizations

Religious groups/organizations not affiliated with the College of St Scholastica are allowed to table in the Student Union a maximum of 1 time per semester. A current CSS student, staff, or faculty member or external religious groups/organizations will need to request a table by contacting Campus Ministry.

All activities and materials must be respectful of the Catholic Benedictine tradition and values and mission of the College of St Scholastica. Any form of religious harassment and manipulation is not permitted, while the roles of personal freedom, doubt, and open critical reflection in healthy spiritual growth are affirmed. Religious harassment is constituted by coercive behavior that affects one’s personal freedom to choose one’s own religious practices.

Tabling Policy for External Employers and Organizations

All tabling related to external employers must be arranged through the Career Services office. Please email careers@css.edu to arrange all details of tabling.

Sample grad school statement from the past:

  • In the spirit of professionalism and hospitality we make these arrangements with the understanding that your marketing approach will focus on promoting the positive aspects of your programs versus discrediting competing programs in your market.

Predatory recruiting practices:

  • We reserve the right to determine if your presence on campus is in the best interest of our students.
  • The College of St Scholastica reserves the right to create, enforce, and change the Tabling Policy at its discretion.
