I. Purpose
Staff Emerita/Emeritus status is an honorary designation awarded to retiring staff members who have demonstrated sustained excellence, significant institutional impact, and faithful service to The College of St. Scholastica. This designation recognizes meritorious service and continued connection to the College community.

A letter of nomination should be prepared by the retiring staff member or their immediate supervisor by XXX

The recipient of the nomination letter will review the nomination and draft a brief written recommendation.

Forward the original nomination and recommendation to the next level in the reporting structure.

Recommendations are added at each subsequent level until the nomination reaches the President.

A staff member is granted Staff Emerita/Emeritus status upon recommendation of the President.
The staff member will be eligible for all the rights and privileges of status within the first year of gaining Emeritus status.
