As a matter of good citizenship, employees are expected to serve when called upon for jury duty. The College will pay an employee for time served on jury duty but only for the day or days the court requires his/her attendance. If jury duty does not require the full work day, the employee is expected to report to work for the remainder of the day.

If an employee is subpoenaed to appear in court as a witness, but not at the request of the College, he/she will be excused from work in order to comply with the subpoena but he/she will not be paid for this time off. Employees may elect to use vacation leave in order to be paid.
